We are a busy pub/restaurant in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Three years ago we reopened the pub after it had been boarded up and run down for over 2 years.
We serve a modern British, seasonal menu, with a few pub classics.
We also operate a BBQ and pizza based menu from our beer garden bar & kitchen and brand new Pizza kitchen. This is available in the spring and summer, and can take our weekly covers to over 2000 and our daily take close to £20k!
As a chef joining our team, you will be expected to produce all our dishes on site to Rosette Standard, be a good team player with the ability to handle pressure. We reward hard work and imagination and will work with you to develop your potential as a chef.
We have developed the pub into a prime independent, with no brewery ties turning over, on average, £40,000 a week.
Our bar standards are second to none, polite but not too formal, and this style carries through into our restaurant area, where your food will be served by professional Front of House staff who will work with the kitchen team to achieve our overall goal of customer satisfaction.
We serve 8 real ales and 1 cask cider and because we are not tied we source these ourselves from wherever we choose, this freedom also extends into our choice of kitchen suppliers.
We are currently extending our kitchen, refurbishing our toilets, and have other plans ongoing for improvements.
We are seeking career minded chefs to help develop our business and facilitate our plans to expand into more pubs operating to the same standard.
We have live in available to allow people to relocate.
